About the Role: As part of the innovative Aladdin Data team at BlackRock, we manage and analyze enterprise data crucial for BlackRock and its Aladdin clients. Our core mission revolves around developing a highly automated, cloud-native platform aimed at revolutionizing our data analytics capabilities. This infrastructure is designed to make processes involved in accessing and leveraging data for asset management more efficient, simpler, and cost-effective.

The Data Product Delivery (DPD) team plays a pivotal role in steering the data product strategy and roadmap, along with ensuring active engagement with stakeholders across all Data Products. We are currently seeking a product manager to lead the delivery of our forward-thinking Sustainability products. This position involves managing the complete product ideation cycle, compiling requirements, and closely working with the engineering team to define comprehensive user stories and acceptance criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the intake of new Sustainability ideas and evaluate them within the stipulated SLAs.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to draft user stories and acceptance criteria following Agile practices.
  • Effectively manage the product backlog to meet or exceed set KPI targets.
  • Engage closely with Data Stewards and other stakeholders to align development efforts with business priorities.
  • Serve as a primary contact point for senior stakeholders, promoting visibility and responsiveness to changing business needs.
  • Actively promote the Sustainability products roadmap, underscoring its benefits and the significant outcomes delivered.
  • Deliver regular updates on progress and achievements in each PI to the senior leadership team, highlighting successes and identifying potential risks.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • At least 4-5 years of experience in financial services, preferably with a focus on business or sustainability data.
  • Strong understanding of asset and risk management, as well as financial instrument modeling across a variety of domains including fixed income, equities, and derivatives.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional financial acumen and analytical skills with an attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of simplifying complex concepts for varied audiences.
  • Prior experience with data modeling, ETL techniques, and familiarity with agile methodologies are advantageous.
