Biogen is seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our Corporate Data Management and Analytics within the comprehensive DMA department. This hybrid role, crucial to our EAUS IT organization, is based in either RTP, NC, or Cambridge, MA. You will play a vital role in steering our data-centric initiatives that significantly impact our strategic business decisions.

About the Role

As the Associate Director, you will collaborate extensively with internal stakeholders and functional IT teams to ensure the seamless delivery of data management and analytics services. By understanding and integrating the corporate functions' data requirements, you will drive development and implementation of tailored solutions that enhance our data capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate stakeholder engagements and gather comprehensive business requirements for data analysis.
  • Identify, acquire, and prepare essential data sources in alignment with business objectives.
  • Implement and oversee the application of best practices and standards for data analytics workflows.
  • Lead the design, building, testing, and documentation stages of Data Management and Analytics solutions.
  • Support testing phases like System Integration Testing (SIT), Validation (VAL), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and manage solution deployment.

With a passion for leveraging data management to drive essential business outcomes, you bring a deep understanding of corporate systems and processes. You excel in conveying complex data-driven insights to diverse teams, helping them execute data strategies effectively.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field; a Master's Degree is preferred.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in data management, data warehousing, and analytics.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including senior leaders.
  • Experience with various data management and ETL software such as Informatica, Oracle, and Snowflake.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with Agile project methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with SAFe, Informatica IICS, Snowflake, and Power BI is a plus.
  • Background in the Life Sciences industry.
  • Knowledge in Master Data Management (MDM) and data governance methodologies.
