Job Description
In this role, you will provide data domain expertise across the data governance lifecycle, partnering with data management, business stakeholders, and IT teams. You'll establish a robust framework for managing data assets to drive business outcomes responsibly.
What You Will Do
- Coordinate and facilitate the creation of data definitions, policies, standards, and processes with data stewardship/management teams.
- Oversee initiatives to maintain high-quality data, including defining standards, implementing tools and processes, and monitoring metrics.
- Lead governance principles, policies, and stewardship within project lifecycles and IT SDLC.
- Influence key business partners to execute plans that implement and support master data standards in business and technology projects.
- Analyze and address data sources, redundancy, and implement processes for data management/governance needs or clean-up efforts.
- Identify data quality opportunities and ensure adherence to data governance and quality initiatives.
- Participate in system enhancement reviews and technology assessments for data needs, use, and redundancies.
- Serve as a key data domain expert, leading data activities in support of strategic initiatives and projects.
- Provide guidance in process redesign that could involve system enhancements or new technology requirements.
- Collaborate with global process teams to design and deliver efficient and effective data processes.
- Analyze problems, diagnose issues, find root causes, and collaborate to design solutions and change management processes.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or IS/IT.
- 6+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, or a Corporate business function.
- Experience in a highly-regulated industry is a plus.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide and develop team members.
- Proficiency with key data governance tools such as GlobalIDs, Informatica, SAP EIM, Collibra.
- Strong understanding of business processes and data governance best practices.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects efficiently in a growth-oriented company.
- Experience in a global matrix structure, emphasizing cross-functional collaboration.
- Skills in logical problem solving and persistence with the judiciousness to seek assistance when necessary.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to facilitate cross-functional teams to deliver process improvements.
- Experience in ERP implementations, data mapping, cleansing, and migration management.
- Analytical prowess combined with hands-on problem-solving abilities.
- Certifications like CDMP, CIMP, or IQCP are advantageous.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
