Job Opportunity: Associate Research Engineer Clubs

Salary Range: $66,000 - $83,000 Annual; Plus bonus eligibility

Job Summary:

As an Associate Research Engineer Clubs, you will work under immediate supervision, utilizing fundamental engineering concepts, scientific methods, and computer-based analysis tools to perform studies on golf club design and biomechanical swing sequences for the Titleist golf club franchise. You will employ established procedures to conduct research and develop potential product advancements, requiring new and innovative approaches. Collaborative efforts with management will allow you to evaluate specific project opportunities in an organized manner, aligning with critical path schedule requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize computational analysis software and established numerical techniques to analyze golf club designs and biomechanical swing sequences, predicting a comprehensive suite of advanced performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with management, fellow research engineers, and product designers/engineers to create 3-D models for performance evaluation and concept substantiation.
  • Gain fundamental knowledge of state-of-the-art engineering applications, computational analysis tools, golf club design methods, USGA regulations, competitive product specifications, patents, and industry trends.
  • Develop scientifically advanced product platforms for next-generation Titleist golf clubs using established computational and empirical models.
  • Generate engineering and technical documentation to support Design, Product Development Engineering, Research, Testing, Suppliers, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, and Legal departments.
  • Pursue patent opportunities by submitting invention records and generating critical data to support the Acushnet patent portfolio.
  • Evaluate future projects with management, ensuring alignment with critical path schedule requirements.
  • Provide professional and technical consultation with external consultants and contractors as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Preferred programming experience in C#, WPF, .NET, Angular, and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience in modeling and analysis using CAD tools (NX or Solidworks) and simulation software (LS-Dyna) is highly preferred.
