Job Description:
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking an ATM Operations and Functions Engineer (F/M) to join our Mission and Function department based in Toulouse, France. You will be part of a dynamic team developing solutions to integrate our aircraft into global air traffic management.

Your Role:

As a member of the Air Traffic Management Operations and Data Systems team, your responsibilities will include:

• Defining operational concepts, standards, cockpit operations, and multi-system functions.
• Managing multi-system functions related to air traffic management, including functionalities based on traffic, weather, or communications with air traffic control and airline ground operation centers.
• Creating functional documentation (FRD/FDD) and high-level human-machine interface definitions.
• Preparing, participating in, and analyzing cockpit evaluations and operational validation, especially with test pilots, customer support, airlines, and human factors specialists.
• Ensuring air/ground interoperability by participating in projects with external partners and/or international standardization groups.

Key Challenges:

• Manage and define operational concepts related to air traffic management in projects like SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research). Coordinate with external partners for concept definition and validation.
• Lead multi-system functions related to air traffic management across all Airbus programs, including functionalities based on traffic, weather, or communications with air traffic control and airline ground operations.
• Prepare functional documentation (FRD/FDD) and high-level human-machine interface definitions.
• Prepare, participate in, and analyze cockpit evaluations and operational validation with test pilots, customer support, airlines, and human factors specialists.
• Ensure air/ground interoperability through participation in projects with external partners or international standardization groups.

Your Profile:

• Aeronautical Engineering or Systems Engineering, Telecommunications, or similar degree (BAC+5).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in air traffic management, air operations, or systems engineering.
• Project management experience considered a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in English; French is a plus.
• This position requires a security clearance or eligibility for clearance by recognized authorities.
