Responsibilities:

Data Mining Analytics:

1. Collaborate closely with the Business Auditor and stakeholders to gather Data Mining Analytics requirements, identify potential risk areas, and assess tangible/intangible ROI. This includes detecting reconciliation leakage, enhancing resource efficiency, ensuring revenue reassurance, and exploring potential revenue optimization opportunities.

2. Utilize advanced technology-based audit techniques to execute audits per the audit plan, aiming to provide independent, objective assurance and value-added services to improve internal control effectiveness, risk management, and governance processes.

3. Analyze large datasets to find anomalies, patterns, and correlations to predict outcomes and leverage this information to increase revenues, reduce costs, enhance customer relationships, mitigate risks, and make data useful for both internal and external stakeholders.

4. Document, validate, and translate agreed business rules for data mining needs into functional requirements for the Data Mining work stream.

5. Deliver exploratory and discovery analysis presentations to organizational leaders.

6. Develop models, test them against hypotheses, and publish these models for analytics or data mining projects.

7. Create, publish, and communicate exceptions in Visual Analytics and Dashboards for an optimal customer experience, enabling easy navigation through various perspectives and scenarios.

8. Stay updated on new changes or revisions of business rules and integrate these into the Data Mining Analytics library, managing analytics scripts and version controls.

9. Perform analytics during data mining assignments to ensure efficient and effective execution of data mining tasks and outcomes.

10. Ensure proper documentation of all tasks and work completed.

11. Assist the DA Department Head in preparing presentation materials for the Audit Committee and relevant Senior Management Committee.

12. Undertake any other responsibilities or tasks as assigned by the DA Department Head, Group Chief Internal Auditor, or Head of Corporate Assurance Malaysia.

People Management:

1. Assist the DA Department Head in identifying, planning, and monitoring manpower needs and staff development for the department.

2. Plan, develop, and implement the training and development plans for direct subordinates, providing them with on-the-job training and motivation. Review their work and evaluate their performance for the annual Performance Management System (PMS).

Regulatory Compliance:

1. Review compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as external regulations/laws, ensuring operations and programs are carried out as planned.

2. Ensure compliance with external regulations/laws imposed on GCAD under the accountability of the Data Analytics Audit Department.
