Job Summary

Join the NXP Ottawa Technology Center, the Canadian R&D office of the world's leading semiconductor supplier for the automotive industry. We are seeking top-tier candidates to join our expanding software team.

As a valued team member, you will develop secure, innovative, and high-performance AI/ML enablement software. This involves leveraging both generic and specific Math accelerators integrated into NXP's class-leading embedded microprocessors, widely used by car manufacturers globally.

Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluate state-of-the-art deep learning and machine learning algorithms.
  • Perform algorithm analysis, prototyping, and optimization.
  • Develop embedded software for applications, enablement or SDK, and algorithms.

Required Skills

  • Experience in programming with C/C++ on embedded systems.
  • Working knowledge of operating systems concepts such as memory management and multi-tasking.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, self-motivation, and ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with Deep Learning frameworks, training, or optimization.
  • Understanding of parallel programming languages and frameworks such as CUDA, OpenCL.
  • Experience developing software on embedded systems with a high-level operating system and cross-compilation.
  • Working knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Tcl, Perl.
