Position Overview:

The Dynamics, Control, and Autonomy Team is looking for a dynamic and motivated research engineer with a specialization in Autonomy and/or Operations-Support Technologies. This role involves leading efforts in technology maturation, validation, and the integration of cutting-edge robotic, imaging, and machine learning systems across various applications, including industrial inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the maturation of advanced autonomy algorithms and capabilities.
  • Drive the validation and deployment of autonomy capabilities in government and business initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver high-impact robotic and machine learning systems.
  • Forge and sustain strategic partnerships with industry, academic, and government entities.
  • Contribute to scholarly articles, conferences, and intellectual property development.

What You Will Bring:

The ideal candidate will be a U.S. Person (citizen or permanent resident) and have:

  • A robust background in autonomous systems, algorithm development, and software implementation.
  • Proven leadership in delivering sophisticated projects or products.
  • Strong skills in AI/ML, collaborative autonomy, and embedded software validation.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in real-time control prototyping, Model-Based System Engineering, or AI assurance.
  • Advanced proficiency in 3D rendering tools and software lifecycle management.
  • A Ph.D. or MS in a relevant STEM field with extensive professional experience.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary range: $118,000 - $246,000, depending on experience and qualifications. RTX offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and employee incentive programs.
