Role Overview

As an experienced AWS Cloud Data Software Engineer III, you will be a key player on an agile team dedicated to designing and delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Your role involves crafting and implementing critical technology solutions across various technical domains to drive the firm’s business objectives forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute advanced software solutions, embracing non-traditional techniques to overcome complex technical challenges.
  • Write secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that integrate seamlessly with various systems.
  • Create architectural designs for sophisticated applications, ensuring design parameters are incorporated into software development.
  • Analyze large data sets to enhance software applications and systems continuously.
  • Proactively detect and address data anomalies and patterns to improve code and system architecture.
  • Participate in and contribute to software engineering communities and events to explore cutting-edge technologies.
  • Advocate for and contribute to diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect within the team.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Solid foundation in software engineering principles with 3+ years of practical experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Spark, and Scala.
  • Experience with AWS ecosystems including Lambda, EC2, Redshift, and more.
  • Hands-on experience with Hadoop and familiarity with other Big Data technologies and ETL tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of agile methodologies like CI/CD.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of front-end technologies and cloud environments, including platforms like Snowflake.
  • Experience with Abinitio and SSIS is a plus.
