As an Applied Scientist, you will collaborate with technology and business teams to create solutions that astonish and satisfy our customers. We are seeking Applied Scientists with the ability to use generative AI and other ML techniques to design, advocate for, and implement cutting-edge solutions for previously unsolved problems. Key job responsibilities * Partner with scientists and engineers to research, design and develop innovative generative AI algorithms to tackle real-world problems * Understand customer adoption patterns for generative AI by working across customer engagement and rapidly share them across teams and leadership * Engage with customers directly to understand their business problem, assist them in the implementation of generative AI solutions, deliver briefing and in-depth sessions to customers and guide the customer's adoption patterns and paths for generative AI * Produce and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog posts, sample code, and presentations suitable for technical, business, and executive stakeholders * Provide customer and market feedback to the Product and Engineering teams to help define the product direction. About the team You will work with a diverse team of Architects, ML Scientists, and Strategists to help and guide AWS customers across Asia Pacific, Japan, China and India in their journey to adopt generative AI. We are open to hiring candidates from any of the following locations: Bangalore, KA, IND | Mumbai, MH, IND Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in developing machine learning models for business applications - PhD, or Master's degree with 6+ years of applied research experience - Familiarity with programming languages like C/C++, Python, Java or Perl - Experience in programming with Java, C++, Python or similar language - Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning Preferred Qualifications - Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy, etc. - Experience with large scale distributed systems like Hadoop, Spark, etc.
