Job Description

As an AWS Data Engineer, you will be integral in managing our big data systems, contributing to our data processing workflows, and enhancing our database management strategies. You are expected to have substantial experience in the field, along with strong analytical skills and proficiency in programming.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Developing and maintaining robust data frameworks using Spark data frames, Spark SQL, and PySpark.
• Writing clean, modular, and maintainable code primarily in Python & SQL.
• Utilizing SQL for dimensional modeling and operating big data warehouses like Hive and Snowflake.
• Managing ETL workflows with tools such as Airflow to ensure seamless data integration and processing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in big data systems and data processing.
• At least 2 years of hands-on coding experience in Spark data frames, Spark SQL, and PySpark.
• Advanced programming skills in Python & SQL with a good understanding of software development practices.
• Familiarity with analytical big data warehouses and ETL workflow management tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in version control and CI/CD tools like Git and Jenkins CI.
• Experience with notebook solutions such as Jupyter, EMR Notebooks, Apache Zeppelin.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities with excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
