Role Overview
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be part of a team developing world-class healthcare reporting services. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow with AWS Infrastructure, DevSecOps, Agile Scrum, and incremental delivery methodologies, surrounded by supportive peers sharing their expertise.
Core work hours: 10 AM - 4 PM Eastern Time, with flexibility to start earlier or work later based on your time zone.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement top-tier cloud-based solutions in AWS using Infrastructure as Code.
- Deploy, set up, and manage infrastructure configurations for various AWS services utilizing tools like Terraform.
- Collaborate with technical stakeholders across application development, networking, infrastructure, information security, and more.
- Optimize automation of application and infrastructure environments.
- Build cloud infrastructure with an understanding of AMI, Containers, and serverless functions.
- Improve continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for development, integration, and production environments.
- Maintain scalable and stable CI/CD tools for development, testing, and security scanning.
- Implement monitoring solutions like Amazon CloudWatch and Splunk for continuous system and performance monitoring.
- Translate functional and non-functional business requirements into technical operational requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience setting up CI/CD pipelines with open-source plugins integration.
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps/Agile/Scrum environments.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with configuration management, cloud orchestration, and automation tools in AWS environments.
- 3+ years’ experience managing infrastructure and applications in AWS cloud environments.
- 2+ years of experience with CI/CD automation.
- 2+ years’ experience using Terraform for infrastructure as code.
Professional Skills
- Exceptional writing and verbal communication abilities.
- Great attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Linux.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Must reside in the US, be authorized to work in the US, and perform work within the US.
- Must be able to travel approximately 5%.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with automated monitoring tools and generating real-time metrics using Splunk or similar services.
- Knowledge of multi-account architecture and tools like AWS Control Tower and Transit Gateways.
- Experience in cloud architecture, migrations, applications development, networking, security, storage, analytics, or machine learning.
- AWS Solution Architect (Associate or Pro) certification.
- Familiarity with NIST, FISMA, FedRamp, and Common Criteria regulations and standards.
- Understanding of the MLOps and machine learning lifecycle with tools like Amazon SageMaker, Apache Airflow, and Looker.
Job Location
This position requires work to be performed within the United States. Employee work locations are monitored to block access from foreign locations and personal VPN connections are prohibited.
