Job Description

As an AWS Senior Data Engineer at Devoteam, your daily missions will include (but are not limited to):

• Participating in AWS Cloud projects (EC2, S3, Lambda, Redshift, EMR, Kinesis, DynamoDB, etc.) and solutions hosted on AWS (Snowflake, Databricks, etc.).
• Developing and automating data ingestion pipelines using relevant technologies (Python, Spark, Kafka).
• Industrializing Data Science algorithms.
• Designing scalable and generic data schemas for reporting and other needs (SQL).
• Developing custom applications based on generic components to meet client needs (e.g., scenario scripting, training monitoring of predictive models and AI, reporting).
• Supervising and mentoring junior consultants, including code reviews and application of best practices.
• Assisting the sales team with proposal writing and pre-sales meetings.
• Contributing to the development of our internal community.
• Participating in the recruitment of future talents.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with expertise in the following areas:

• Technologies: Python, PySpark, Scala Spark, Scikit-learn, MLlib, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, LightGBM, XGBoost, and more.
• Data architectures and environments: Hadoop, ElasticSearch, Kafka, etc.
• AWS Big Data stack: Step Function, Lambda, ECR, S3, EC2, CodeBuild, Glue, automation and DevOps tools, EMR, Redshift, Athena.
• DevOps environments and Infrastructure as Code: Git, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, ML Flow, Airflow, or equivalents in Cloud environments.

Desired Experience:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in data engineering and data platform architecture on AWS.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView, D3.js, etc.).
• Strong software engineering skills with Git, Scala, Python, and/or SQL.
• Experience building batch and streaming ELT pipelines.
• Advanced data modeling skills for analytics use cases.
• Excellent understanding of business needs through use case analysis and strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of processing unstructured data and familiarity with emerging technologies.
• Fluency in English (both oral and written). Mastery of French or Dutch is a plus.
