Job Responsibilities

As an AWS Software Engineer III, your key responsibilities will include:

• Executing software solutions, encompassing design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Creating secure, high-quality production code and sustaining algorithms synchronized with relevant systems.
• Generating architecture and design artifacts for intricate applications, ensuring design constraints are met during development.
• Gathering, analyzing, synthesizing, and creating visualizations and reports from extensive data sets for continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
• Proactively identifying hidden issues within data and using these insights to enhance coding quality and system architecture.
• Contributing to software engineering communities and events focused on new and emerging technologies.
• Fostering a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and a minimum of 3 years of applied experience.
• AWS Certification (Cloud Practitioner or higher).
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficiency in coding in one or more languages, including Java (Spring Boot), Python/PySpark.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming and database querying languages.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• A solid understanding of agile methodologies, such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Proven knowledge of software applications and technical processes within at least one technical discipline (e.g., cloud, AI, machine learning, mobile).

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Desirable experience includes:

• Experience with Spark, Glue/Glue ETL/Glue Catalog, SQL Databases (Aurora DB), Terraform deployments, and CICD configurations.
