Our Data Team consists of approximately 50 members, encompassing the fields of data engineering, data science, and data architecture. We collaborate with diverse public and private sector clients to construct production-standard cloud solutions, focusing on streaming, graph, big data, and data science applications.
Job Description
Due to the nature of our client engagements, all employees must be eligible for Security Clearance. This requires the right to work in the UK, with no visa requirements, and a residency in the UK for at least five years without any breaks exceeding 6 months.
Candidates should be able to easily commute to our London office. Some roles/projects may necessitate travel to client offices, with frequency often determined by the client.

The key responsibilities of the role are summarized as follows:
- Understand and refine the data vision for a program, capturing data requirements that support business outcomes.
- Comprehend the existing data architecture and data engineering pipelines, design strategic architecture, identify and document architecture gaps.
- Maintain architecture vision, target architecture and architecture plans.
- Transform architecture plans into prioritised deliverables for delivery teams, to provide business value in an iterative/incremental fashion.
- Define data capture, storage, processing and exploitation patterns and best practices.
- Evaluate and apply Microsoft Azure technology stack and services for data platform and pipelines.
- Ensure data quality through the architecture.
- Define data architecture/engineering team structure and manage solution quality.
Qualifications
Alongside a robust architecture and software engineering background, you should possess:
- Experience in defining data strategy, data migration approach and data integration approach.
- Experience with Big Data technologies.
- Experience with the Azure stack.
- Experience with both open-source and vendor data platforms.
- Experience with data architecture, architectural concepts, methodologies, and approaches.
- Competence in microservices architecture.
- Experience in designing for both structured and unstructured data.
- An understanding of non-functional design drivers.
- Experience with data modelling.

Consultancy experience is beneficial, but demonstrable experience in working with clients/external partners in other settings is also considered.
