Job Description

Position: Azure Data Engineer

Job Summary: We are on the lookout for a highly skilled Azure Data Engineer to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional problem-solving skills and enjoy working collaboratively in a team environment. Your role will be crucial in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure to support business operations and decision-making processes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, and Python.
• Optimize and tune SQL queries, stored procedures, and data processing workflows for performance and scalability.
• Develop and maintain data models to support business requirements and data analysis.
• Collaborate with business users to understand data needs and design efficient data solutions.
• Implement data governance policies and ensure data integrity and quality.
• Automate data processes and workflows using PowerShell and other scripting languages.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, resolving any issues or bottlenecks that may arise.
• Work closely with the infrastructure team to optimize data storage, data processing, and data transfer in the Azure Cloud environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong programming and performance tuning skills in SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, and Python.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and experience with designing efficient data models.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques for data processing and storage.
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud services and technologies.
• Knowledge of Git version control system.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the structured finance space specializing in residential mortgages.
• Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
• Knowledge of machine learning and data science concepts.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
