About the Job:

Our company is on the lookout for a skilled Software Engineer to join our Experimentation Product team. As part of this role, you will assist in constructing and deploying quick, reliable, and scalable data processing tools to manage data from our expansive customer base and their hundreds of millions of global users. We value individuals who understand the importance of customer satisfaction and take pride in the excellence of their work.

Our data platform manages events from over twenty billion feature flag evaluations and billions of experimentation metric events daily, using core technologies such as Golang, Scala, Kinesis, and Flink. As we follow a you-build-it-you-run-it culture, all our developers may have to support their applications in production, including on-call.

Your work will directly influence the customer experience, enabling them to run the most effective experiments.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with a modern data stack and open-source frameworks
  • Developing and enhancing our data platform, pipeline, and services
  • Designing data pipelines for new products and to meet evolving customer needs
  • Working closely with the product team to influence and deliver user-facing features
  • Monitoring and enhancing data pipeline for continuous improvement
  • Advocating engineering standards, tools, and processes

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency and experience in a JVM language or Golang
  • Experience in constructing data platforms (for instance, using Flink, Kafka, DataFlow, Hadoop, Spark)
  • Familiarity with data pipelines, distributed systems, and large-scale data processing
  • Strong communication abilities, a positive attitude, and empathy
  • You set high standards for yourself and others when it comes to dealing with data systems
  • You value superior code quality, automated testing, and other best engineering practices
  • Hands-on experience with AWS
  • Experience with experimentation systems/products
  • Working knowledge of and a query language

Pay:

An estimated pay range for a Level P3 West Coast United States role is between $144,000 - $169,000*
