About the Role: Backend Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our R&D team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our product team to enhance our unique offerings. Your responsibilities will include developing our data ingestion pipeline, introducing new analysis engines, and building scalable and fault-tolerant backend designs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the technology and assist the product team with future directions in your domain of expertise.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.
• Develop backend services that integrate with and ingest data from various cloud providers storing sensitive data.
• Build pipelines that analyze, classify, correlate, and process this data.
• Create systems to detect anomalies in ingested data, automatically resolve issues, and generate sophisticated yet easily consumable insights.
• Work in an agile environment, responding quickly to new insights.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, product, design, and internal stakeholders to solve real-world problems for clients and accelerate business growth.

Experience You’ll Need:

• 4+ years of experience building backend software using high-level languages like Python.
• Experience with SQL and ORM frameworks such as SQLAlchemy.
• Experience with distributed systems using frameworks like RabbitMQ, Kafka, Amazon SQS, and Celery.
• Proficient in writing RESTful APIs and async programming (e.g., asyncio).
• Experience with cloud-native products and knowledge of cloud internals (AWS, Azure, GCP) — Advantageous.
• Knowledge in the cybersecurity domain — Advantageous.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant military experience — Advantageous.
