Position Overview

We're looking to build our Data & Analytics capabilities in the India GDTC by recruiting a talented Senior Data Analyst specialized in data-driven insights. If you are passionate about business intelligence, adept at data modelling, and skilled in understanding and translating business needs, we encourage you to apply. Job Purpose

Reporting to the Manager of BI and Data Modeling, you'll be a vital part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team. Your primary focus will be on data modelling to design, develop, and implement data assets that fuel data-driven decision-making across our organization.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End BI Data Modelling & Reporting

• Lead the development of global data assets such as data models and reports in Power BI.
• Maintain, optimize, and enhance existing Power BI assets.
• Engage with stakeholders, data product owners, data analysts, and engineers.
• Overcome roadblocks affecting timelines and ensure quality through user testing.
• Continuously modernize data assets to boost adoption and usage.

Requirement Gathering

• Collaborate with experts to understand business objectives and key questions.
• Ensure clear communication of requirements following best practices.

Data Preparation

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with governance standards.
• Work with Data Engineering to enhance data collection and storage processes.

Systems Design

• Support architecture design to integrate effectively with BI systems.

BI Systems Adoption

• Promote BI adoption through leadership, best practices, and individual consultation.

Learning and Development

• Stay updated with the latest BI tools, trends, and data analysis techniques.

Mentorship and Leadership

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts.
• Lead by example in data modelling and BI best practices.

Please Note: This role requires a minimum of 3 days per week at our Gurgaon office.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• 6-10 years of experience in data-driven environments, including data modelling.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or a STEM-related field.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in designing and implementing data models using Power BI (or similar tools).
• Proficiency in DAX and SQL.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, and data warehousing concepts.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in large dataset analysis.
• Advanced dashboard creation using Power BI.
• Understanding of data governance principles.
• Nice to have: Experience with Azure Data Platform and programming languages like Python or R.

Data Literacy and Communication

• Understanding of data system design and ability to work with technical teams.
• Capability to translate business requirements into BI solutions.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
