Role Overview

The ideal candidate will have both front-end and back-end development experience, emphasizing data integration, processing, and visualization. This role offers career growth opportunities and the chance to impact our diverse customer base across various industries worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test BI solutions including databases, data cubes, queries, views, reports, and dashboards.
• Perform data conversions, imports, and exports between internal and external software systems.
• Integrate BI platforms with Global Shares' web-based product lines systems.
• Implement data structures using best practices in data modeling, processes, and technologies.
• Enhance the performance of business intelligence tools by defining data filters and indexes; lead performance tuning of BI applications.
• Document existing and new models, solutions, and implementations; lead integration efforts for merging BI platforms with enterprise systems.
• Collect, analyze, and share data to drive improvements in key business metrics, customer experience, and business results.
• Develop and maintain Java Spring Boot applications to support BI functionalities.
• Optimize database performance, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports using Sisense, Tableau, and Jasper.
• Utilize Azure Cloud Services for storage, compute, and other functionalities.
• Ensure effective use of Azure Data Factory Studio for data pipeline management.
• Implement and manage Kafka for real-time data streaming and processing.
• Manage applications using Kubernetes, ensuring high availability, scalability, and efficient resource utilization.
• Develop and manage REST APIs and other API types for seamless data exchange; ensure APIs are secure, scalable, and well-documented.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in PostgreSQL & Microsoft SQL Server with strong skills in writing & optimizing SQL queries for analytics.
• Experience in data warehousing processes using advanced SQL functions and procedures with a focus on portability across multiple environments (QA, UAT, and PROD).
• Expertise in relational databases, data modeling, and data visualization tools.
• Relevant certifications in technologies such as Azure Cloud Services, Kafka, Kubernetes.
• Experience in deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of API development and integration.
• Knowledge of data security best practices and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with excellent organization and time-management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for articulating complex issues and providing recommendations to leadership.
