Job Overview: Senior Big Data Cloud Developer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Big Data Cloud Developer to join our dynamic team managing a Data Lake platform on Microsoft Azure. This platform leverages a blend of open-source technologies like Spark and Kafka, along with Azure-specific tools such as Azure Storage, HDI, AKS, and others.

You will be instrumental in the platform's design, implementation, and ongoing production support. Additionally, you will offer your expertise to projects integrating with the platform. Your proficiency in Big Data technologies and Azure, combined with a solid understanding of performance and security principles, is crucial.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Identifying future needs and improvements, and designing solutions for team validation.
• Testing and evaluating new Azure technologies, in collaboration with security teams and Microsoft, to ensure their availability in our secure environment.
• Contributing to solution implementation, establishing automation and monitoring for a stable self-service offering.
• Providing training to team members and advising other teams on their Big Data project implementations.
• Participating in production support, including overtime if necessary, and communicating incidents to AMER users.

Qualifications:

• Over 7 years of experience in development and architecture with Java, building multi-threaded applications, APIs, and services in an Agile environment.
• Extensive experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Kafka, and/or Apache Oozie.
• Substantial experience with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies like Azure Storage or AKS.
• Proficient in using Apache Spark.
• Solid experience with bash scripting under Linux.
• More than 2 years of experience in continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) using modern DevOps tools and workflows such as Git, GitHub, Jira, Docker, and Jenkins.
• Over 3 years of experience in Agile development (Scrum, Kanban) and test automation (behavioral, unit, integration tests).
• Previous experience with Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL, or a similar relational database.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Terraform and PowerShell.
• University degree in Computer Science, DEC, or equivalent technical certifications.
• Proficiency in French and English is required.
