We are on the lookout for a proactive and passionate Business Development Representative (BDR) who is enthusiastic about technology, eager to forge new client relationships, and dedicated to promoting ethical AI supply chains.

As a BDR, you will collaborate closely with our marketing, sales, and solution engineering teams to identify and address prospect pain points, effectively positioning our GenAI solutions to exceed client expectations. This role is your chance to be part of a leading company in a vast industry filled with technological intricacies, where your verbal and written communication skills will shine as you deepen your knowledge about GenAI and LLM development.

Furthermore, you'll play a crucial role in supporting Sama’s mission to create social impact and elevate individuals out of poverty by generating opportunities for our East African teams, linking them to digital work in the burgeoning field of GenAI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage potential clients through diverse channels such as cold calling, email campaigns, social media, industry events, and networking.
  • Perform in-depth account research to understand business maturity, strategic priorities, and key stakeholders, then convey these insights to internal teams effectively.
  • Qualify inbound leads from marketing initiatives and convert them into genuine sales opportunities.
  • Arrange meetings or discussions between potential clients and Account Executives.
  • Maintain lead and interaction data through our CRM software, keeping track of sales activities and outcomes.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive activities, and our product or service enhancements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in business development or a related field.
  • Strong interest or background in Gen AI and model development.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and detailed attention skills.
  • Superior written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Solid analytical skills to interpret metrics and compile reports.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesforce, Asana, and Outreach.
  • A good grasp of Account-Based Marketing strategies.
  • A drive to develop and implement innovative ideas for outbound campaigns.
