What You Will Do
As part of our collaborative business development team, you will play a crucial role in providing insights that support our business development strategy and overall growth. Here’s what you can expect:
- Market Research: Contribute to pipeline development by reviewing and analyzing data sources such as government databases, procurement forecasts, industry newsletters, and relevant websites.
- Competitor Analysis: Support the capture process by thoroughly researching competitors and key strategic partners, and updating this information in our database.
- Data Visualization: Design and develop data analyses, visualize outputs, and present findings to internal stakeholders.
- Quick-turnaround Requests: Complete ad hoc research requests for various internal stakeholders efficiently.
- Industry Engagement: Attend virtual conferences and webinars, providing summaries and insights to the wider team.
What You Will Bring With You
Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
- Experience: 2+ years of research experience in the public sector, including market research, competitive analysis, and business development.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with government contracting research resources (FPDS, GovWin, USASpending.gov, SAM.gov, etc.) and Microsoft 365.
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability to organize, analyze, and present information to key stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Consulting Experience: Experience working in a consulting firm or public agency.
- Business Development Skills: Experience in sales, proposal writing, and business development.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analysis, Statistics, Informatics, Business, STEM, Policy/Government.
- Advanced Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and Excel, including pivot tables and data sets.

- Ability to be flexible and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
