About the role: We are in search of an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to become a part of our Analytics team. The role primarily involves translating data into business insights about the shipping & commodities markets and communicating them through reports. What you will do in this role: - Create high-performing datasets by merging diverse data sources. - Proficiently understand and interpret Signal's data, identifying actionable trends. - Create insightful reports that guide the daily decision-making process of Signal’s clients. - Fully own reports, ensuring the accuracy of the underlying data and resolving any issues. - Collaborate with our global Product and Commercial departments, including Data Engineering, Data Science, and Data Warehouse teams, to provide exact market analysis. - Build and monitor product analytics, including client engagement, retention, and feature usage. - Enhance existing reports based on client feedback. - Conduct market research and stay informed about market developments. Requirements What you bring to the team: - A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields in Statistics. - Over 3 years of experience in a similar role. - Proficiency in creating data reports that effectively communicate insights and trends to stakeholders through compelling data storytelling. - Strong motivation to deeply understand the market, its developments, and trends. - Strong SQL and at least one BI tool (preferably PowerBI) knowledge. - Strong logical/analytical skills. - Experience working with large and unstructured datasets within a Data Warehouse to create meaningful datasets. - Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams. - Enthusiasm for gaining knowledge in both BI backend and frontend technologies. - Python skills are beneficial but not mandatory. - Proficiency in English (both written and spoken). - Prior experience in the shipping industry is not required.
