Job Description:

The Business Intelligence Analyst I at Shoprite fills a vital dual role: as a business analyst, you will translate business intelligence needs into solid technical deliveries; as a data analyst, you'll leverage BI tools and data expertly to address business queries. Your tasks include comprehensive analysis, effective solution development, timely service delivery, and maintenance of impactful business relationships.

Key Functions and Responsibilities:

• Act as a liaison between IT and business units, ensuring streamlined communication and solution alignment.
• Conduct comprehensive impact analysis for system integrations or modifications.
• Develop detailed reports, wireframes, and functional requirements for IT implementations.
• Assess business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and manage risk effectively.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions to better integrate solutions within business operations.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• A minimum of 1-year experience within a Business Analyst role essential.
• Strong foundational knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience in information and business process modeling is crucial.
• Familiarity with agile development practices is an advantage.
• Practical knowledge of IT solutions pertaining to various domains such as Human Resources, Retail Franchise/Store Support Services, and IT Engineering.
• Business Analysis certification (ECBA, CCBA) or similar is desirable.
