Job Description
The Business Intelligence Analyst will collaborate with key business leaders to understand requirements and translate them into effective solutions. Acting as a liaison, you will ensure detailed discovery, documentation, design, and continuous optimization of business strategies to meet objectives, tackle challenges, maximize revenue growth, and retain customers.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science, Math, Statistics) or equivalent professional experience. Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in business intelligence, data, reporting, or analytics.
- Proficiency with BI applications (e.g., Business Objects, Power BI, Tableau, Tableau Prep, Alteryx, QlikView, SFDC, HTML, JavaScript).
- Solid SQL skills; additional experience with R and Python is advantageous.
- Experience with SFDC Reporting and familiarity with Salesforce.com SOQL and/or SFDC Development Tools (JavaScript, AJAX, SOAP, REST).
- Strong understanding of relational database and data warehousing concepts for BI applications.
- Demonstrated proficiency in qualitative and statistical analysis.
- Excellent project and process management capabilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in cross-functional projects and BI initiatives between business and technical teams, leveraging BI best practices.
- Support BI leadership and technical teams with database requirements for reporting and analytics based on business needs.
- Conduct research and analysis of data sources to enhance or develop new BI capabilities.
- Assist in planning and developing technical platforms to support reporting and analytics.
- Execute the design, development, and testing of dashboards, reports, and data analysis using BI applications.
- Employ testing best practices for new or modified dashboards and reports against specifications, test plans, and requirements.
- Identify data discrepancies, determine root causes, and suggest improvements for resolution.
- Communicate analytical findings to business leaders and recommend next steps for future analysis.
