Job Description:
Wolters Kluwer is seeking a motivated Business Intelligence Analyst II to join our innovative team. This role will act as a crucial liaison between business leaders and various teams, translating requirements into actionable business intelligence solutions. This position focuses on optimizing business strategies, enhancing decision-making processes, and improving customer offerings to drive measurable business performance.
1. Cross-functional Collaboration:
Engage in cross-functional projects and BI initiatives, leveraging best practices and standards to bridge the gap between business and technical teams.
2. Database Requirements:
Support BI leadership and technical teams by identifying and implementing database needs for reporting and analytics purposes.
3. Data Analysis:
Conduct in-depth research and analysis of data sources to enhance or develop new BI capabilities.
4. Technical Execution:
Assist in the design, development, and testing of dashboards and reports, ensuring alignment with business specifications and requirements.
5. Quality Assurance:
Utilize best practices for testing new or modified dashboards and reports, ensuring accurate and reliable data outputs.
6. Communication:
Present analytical findings to business leaders, suggesting actionable steps for further analysis and decision-making.
Education:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Master’s or Ph.D. is preferred.
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, reporting, or analytics.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with BI applications such as Business Objects, Power BI, Tableau, Tableau Prep, Alteryx, QlikView, SFDC, HTML, Javascript, etc. Comfortable with SQL and familiar with R and Python.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with SFDC Reporting, Salesforce.com SOQL, and Development Tools (Javascript, AJAX, SOAP, REST) is ideal. Understanding of relational databases/data warehousing concepts is crucial.
