Who You Are: As an ideal candidate, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the BI strategy for Global Services at Bazaarvoice. Your expertise in BI tools and data visualization will be crucial in transforming raw, unstructured data into actionable insights, driving informed decision-making across the company. With a knack for identifying business needs and crafting custom solutions through innovative dashboards and reports, you will ensure data integrity and accuracy. This role allows for independent work with some overlap during US business hours, providing global coverage for our key stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Reporting:

• Design metrics to quantify abstract business goals.
• Develop fully automated Tableau dashboards.
• Implement analytical strategies spanning descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics across multiple functions.
• Create compelling data visualizations with user-friendly interfaces.
• Architect a scalable reporting infrastructure with a focus on rigorous quality assurance and solution testing.

Project Management:

• Collaborate cross-functionally to define and realize reporting objectives.
• Take ownership and show initiative in managing deliverables.
• Engage stakeholders with probing questions to refine project requirements.
• Continuously seek feedback throughout the development process.
• Maintain clear communication, negotiate effectively, and adhere to project timelines.
• Participate in agile workflows, including weekly sprint meetings.

Influencing Business:

• Work alongside business leaders to enhance operational efficiency through data-driven insights.
• Challenge the status quo with a proactive and curious approach.
• Ensure seamless system integration to maintain clean data and an excellent user experience.
• Equip stakeholders with the knowledge to utilize our reporting tools effectively.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, MIS, engineering, or computer science.
• At least 3 years’ experience in roles such as business analyst, data analyst, or similar.
• Strong business acumen with proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Experience in developing dashboards and reports, with advanced skills in Tableau highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for a non-technical audience.
• Adept at collaborating with end-users and possessing outstanding interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Tableau Prep, Salesforce, Snowflake, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Python proficiency.
• Familiarity with statistical modeling, design thinking, agile methodologies, and machine learning.
• Project management experience or certifications.
• Experience in operations within a SaaS environment.
