Role Overview: Business Intelligence Analyst

The Business Intelligence Analyst will drive and execute the VXBS (Visa-Cross-Border-Solutions) / CurrencyCloud Insights and Analytics roadmap, delivering value through actionable insights and supported analytics. This involves collaborating with Business leaders, Technology, and Product teams to understand strategic objectives, measurements, and reporting needs.

This role is ideal for an analyst experienced in product management, Business Intelligence, and big data platforms who is eager to learn about cross-border money movement and interested in delivering value and driving growth. The role reports to the Head of Insights & Analytics for VXBS and is primarily remote, although office spaces across the UK are available.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to metrics, KPIs, and segments by understanding strategic objectives, product features, and business needs.
• Drive reporting requirements, user stories, and backlog grooming to deliver optimal reporting / BI solutions to internal users and external clients (merchant, issuers, partners).
• Identify and drive opportunities to enhance performance measures for improved business outcomes.
• Develop SME knowledge of data sets, data platforms, and tools across VXBS and Visa's wider money movement landscape.
• Apply and conform to existing data standards and quality criteria to ensure system reporting quality.
• Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, project meetings, and internal client meetings to drive delivery and solutions.
• Engage in VXBS Insights meetings to promote growth, training, and collaboration across teams.
• Communicate insights effectively through written and oral presentations to various levels of management across business units and functional areas.
• Exhibit top-notch stakeholder management skills, including influencing colleagues in small, cross-functional scrum teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of work experience or an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD) with at least 2 years of work experience.
• Proficiency in large database manipulation using tools like SQL or Python and reporting tools (Tableau preferred).
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts, latest BI trends, and product analytics.
• Experience in Marketing / Risk / Sales / Product analytics with basic statistical and predictive modeling (nice to have).
• Financial services/payments industry experience is a strong plus.
• Strong visualization skills and experience with Dashboards and Reporting tools.
• Desire and aptitude to be hands-on with data and analytics.
• Ability to think critically and methodically through issues and develop workable solutions.
• Capability to function autonomously, make sound decisions, and advocate for Visa's business goals and objectives.
• Strong listening, oral, and written communication skills.
