The holder of this role will construct forecasts, recommendations, and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. The role involves creating specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and data elements that are required or available. It may involve providing consultation to users and leading cross-functional teams to address business issues. It may require directly producing datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools. It may be centered on internal operations or external client relations, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions. Working at NTT Business Intelligence Analysts transform data into insights that drive business value using data analytics, data visualization, and data modeling techniques and technologies. They turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions. Key Roles and Responsibilities: - Analyzing complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. - Identifying and interpreting trends and patterns in relevant datasets to locate influences. - Creating specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements. - Defining, developing, enhancing, and tracking metrics via PowerBI Dashboards and automated Excel. - Ability to communicate well with all levels both in written and verbal communication. Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes: - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Advanced Excel skills are essential. - Advanced PowerBI skills are necessary. - SQL Query, general SQL usage is a key skill used daily. - Experience/knowledge in DAX is very helpful. - Python scripting is highly regarded. - Experience/knowledge in PowerAutomate is a plus. - Detail-oriented. - Desire to learn new things, ability to deal in a fast-paced environment, and handle changing priorities. Academic Qualifications and Certifications: - Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. - Relevant certifications could include: MOS Excel Expert, PowerBI Data Analyst Associate, Azure AI Fundamentals Certificate. Required Experience: - Proven experience working in an analytics capacity. - Proven experience working with SQL. - Experience in creating PowerBI reports and dashboards from various data sources. - Experience in producing Excel-based reporting. For the first few weeks in this role, the candidate will be working closely with other team members. Attentiveness during knowledge transfer is key, as a significant amount of our informal training is on-the-job training and team assignments. As Business Insights is a small team environment, the applicant must be a team player. Also, the Hyderabad India location will initially (and possibly remain) be for a second shift position, starting in the afternoon and ending in the evening. Specific hours are negotiable after the initial training period is completed. Some overlap with standard US business hours will be necessary.
