Role Overview: Business Intelligence (BI) Developer I

The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer I collaborates with end-users and clients to develop solutions for accessible decision-making information. Utilizing data from both internal and external systems and employing MS Azure tools and Power BI, the Associate BI Developer transforms data into useful information through analysis, dashboards, and data visualizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on analytical and visualization tasks with senior team members.
  • Participate in Scrum team development efforts and solution development.
  • Utilize data to drive ROI goals and ensure iterative improvements.
  • Develop and maintain partnership relationships with clients and teammates.
  • Proactively learn and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Engage in stakeholder and client efforts, fostering cross-functional collaboration.
  • Participate in design reviews and learn software development best practices.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of BI-related experience.
  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Power BI.
  • Knowledge of fundamental BI developer skills (ETL, DB Design, Dashboard/Report Design).
  • Understanding of the software lifecycle and Agile process.
  • Familiarity with Azure, ADF, and Azure Repos.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing queries using T-SQL.
  • Ability to create dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Introductory knowledge of DAX and M development languages.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software design, math, or a related field, or 2+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of BI experience.
  • Power BI and Azure certifications.

Our flexible hybrid work environment requires employees to live in North Carolina, within a commutable distance to our Morrisville, NC headquarters.
