About the Role
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team of solution developers and architects. You will work with both on-premise and cloud data platforms used in compliance and risk management. Your responsibilities will include system integration, data ingestion, and dashboard/report development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead data initiatives from intake to productionization of data processes.
- Direct a team of contractors and employees in enabling data processes.
- Implement data ingestion pipelines and DevOps for on-prem and Azure/GCP cloud platforms.
- Develop SQL queries and ETL packages to migrate data into our data warehouse.
- Ensure smooth transition to the Operations team for sustained process execution.
- Create high-quality dashboards/reports using tools like Power BI, SSRS, Excel/PowerPivot, and Tableau.
- Conduct thorough testing for quality assurance.
- Build SQL views to facilitate data consumption from the data warehouse.
- Integrate systems through REST API, database views, SharePoint lists, sFTP, and more.
- Document databases, data process flows, and maintain data dictionaries.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database and application issues promptly.
- Coordinate code deployments and production implementations.
- Train and assist users at all levels.
Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft BI stack (SQL Server, T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS).
- Knowledge of Azure data solutions (SQL Managed Instance, Synapse Pipelines, Azure Data Factory) is a plus.
- Familiarity with GCP, Google Big Query, API Ingest, dbt (data build tool), Vertex AI, Looker is a plus.
- Experience in data warehousing, ETL, and SSIS for system integration.
- Proficiency in data visualization/BI tools like Power BI and SSRS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to rapidly implement client feedback on dashboards and reports.
- Experience with SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Knowledge of banking or risk-related systems is advantageous.
- Experience developing code to consume REST API services is a plus.
- Familiarity with COTS software packages for system integration is a plus.
- Experience with DevOps and MS Azure Cloud services or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
- Knowledge of web development (in .NET, SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Platform) is a plus.
