At Amazon Logistics, we are establishing a top-tier last mile operation, greatly supplemented by Amazon Flex. Amazon Flex partners directly with independent contractors - referred to as delivery partners - to fulfil deliveries to our customers. Through Amazon Flex, individuals now have the opportunity to run their own delivery business for Amazon packages. Amazon Flex is enabled by a mobile application that operates seamlessly with our advanced logistics systems. This assists delivery partners to register, schedule delivery hours, navigate their deliveries with in-app mapping and more. We are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to help us expedite our progressing Flex business. This individual will construct new business intelligence solutions from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will show enthusiasm for working with large data sets and possess the skills to leverage these data sets to garner insights, solve business queries and stimulate growth.
Key job responsibilities
The main responsibilities of this role include:
* Designing, developing and maintaining large-scale, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. which will underpin our analytical and business requirements for forecasting and pricing.
* Applying analytical and statistical rigour to resolve complicated issues and drive business decisions that will facilitate the achievement of our strategic objectives.
* Writing high-quality SQL code to extract and analyse data from database tables (primarily Redshift). Acquiring a comprehensive understanding of a varied range of Amazon’s data resources in order to discern when and how to utilise them.
* Developing queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requirements and projects, as well as regular reporting.
* Besides leading the design, development and administration of our analytical tools and reporting, this person will also provide leadership and business analysis support as required. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound business acumen, experience in developing reporting and analytical infrastructures, effective communication skills, the capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in analysing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight or similar tools.
- Experience with data modelling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines.
- Comprehensive SQL query writing skills.
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab.
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) for data processing for modelling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using AWS solutions like EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business setting with large-scale, intricate datasets.

Base pay for this position varies from $79,600 per year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000 per year in our highest geographic market.
