About the Role

As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will lead the design, implementation, and delivery of BI solutions in the complex and ambiguous problem space that is Amazon's marketplace. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, highly analytical, and capable of making data-driven decisions with strong business acumen. You must be able to handle competing priorities, manage stakeholders, and set up a BI roadmap to deliver top-notch solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon's data resources and how, when, and which to use
• Work closely with the team to understand business challenges and provide data/analysis for better decision-making
• Design and create reports and metrics for tracking business and product success
• Build self-service reporting platforms and establish automated processes for large-scale data analysis
• Understand and write high-quality SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data
• Extract, transform, and load data to build new reporting solutions
• Manage local data infrastructure and collaborate with global teams to ensure data consistency and accuracy

About the Team

The LATAM Marketplace BI team ensures that stakeholders and leaders have the necessary data to make informed, data-driven decisions. Structured into verticals (business topics), we promote weekly knowledge sharing. As a Business Intelligence Engineer in our team, you'll oversee one or more business verticals, drive BI projects end-to-end, set up the BI roadmap, manage stakeholders, dive deep into data, and design and build SQL tables, KPIs, reports, dashboards, and analyses.

We are open to hiring candidates to work at our office in Mexico City, DIF, MEX.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data with tools like Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
• Experience in data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
• Experience with statistical analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages like Python for data processing and modeling

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
• Experience in data mining, ETL processes, and handling large-scale, complex datasets
