Job Opportunity: Business Intelligence Engineer - Amazon India Supply Chain & Analytics

Join Amazon's Supply Chain & Analytics team as a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) for an 18-month tenure on Amazon's payroll. About the Role

As a BIE in Amazon India’s Supply Chain & Analytics team, you will work on challenging problems alongside leading research scientists, software developers, and business leaders. Your efforts will help shape our roadmap and drive Amazon's long-term profitability.

We seek several BIEs passionate about diving deep into data, analyzing root causes, and implementing long-term solutions. You will collaborate closely with program managers, software developers, research scientists, and product managers to evaluate massive data sets, identify areas for improvement, define metrics, and monitor programs.

Moreover, you'll work with internal business teams to extract information from existing systems, create new analyses, and present data intuitively to wider teams. As a BIE, you will influence high-visibility and high-impact areas within the organization, leveraging your technical skills to shape program development.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and establish KPIs to drive growth and performance.
  • Build infrastructure and implement maintenance strategies for internal datasets.
  • Use large data sets to automate data extraction and build monitoring/reporting dashboards.
  • Mentor program managers and junior/peer analysts to enhance team data management and analytical capabilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, and BI solutions.
  • Manage the business metrics reporting process and support ad hoc reporting requests.
  • Build BI solutions to support Planning and Operations teams across ROW countries.
  • Design and influence operational best practices for reporting and analytics to enable team scalability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement advanced analytics algorithms.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to business customers/leadership verbally or in writing.
  • Partner with stakeholders to build ETLs, conduct deep dives, and participate in building long-term Analytics and BI solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, QuickSight, etc.
  • Proficiency in industry analytics tools and statistical methods (e.g., Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI, t-test, Chi-squared).
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, or R).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and correlation analysis.
