About the Role

In this dynamic position, you will leverage your advanced data analytic expertise to drive significant business decisions, ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction and contributing to our long-term free cash flow growth. This role provides an excellent chance to deeply understand Amazon's intricate systems and optimize our supply chain processes by collaborating with diverse professional teams from various departments including product development, science, technology, retail, finance, and operations.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Analyze and integrate large data sets from diverse systems to uncover valuable insights.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to explore customer behaviors, identify system defects, and enhance our service capabilities.
• Design and execute robust business strategies based on detailed data analysis, trend identification, and pattern recognition.
• Communicate complex data insights effectively to senior management and executives.
• Create sophisticated dashboards to aid multiple teams in understanding insights, altering business processes, and monitoring advancements.
• Develop and maintain advanced analytical models to scale and improve business outcomes, elevating existing system functionalities.

Job Location

Positions are available at our office in Tokyo, Japan.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Intelligence, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• At least 5 years of experience in data analysis with proficiency in using Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
• Skilled in data visualization tools like Tableau or Quicksight and in building ETL pipelines.
• Strong background in statistical analysis using software such as R, SAS, or Matlab.
• Proficient in SQL scripting for data extraction and Python for data processing.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex data in an understandable manner.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS technologies such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
• Advanced data mining and ETL skills, with experience managing large-scale, complex datasets.
• Japanese language skills are advantageous but not required.
