About This Role

We're hiring an experienced Business Intelligence Data Manager to enhance our capacity for understanding financial performance and deriving key business insights. The ideal candidate will ensure our metrics and transactional data are accurate, clear, and scalable.

This role sits within the Finance department and collaborates with various teams, including Accounting, Analytics Engineering, and Data Infrastructure. You'll play a critical role in empowering Faire employees to leverage data for impactful decisions. Your mission will involve optimizing data accessibility and automating processes to amplify our business functions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage, scope, and contribute to complex queries, troubleshooting, and data synthesis for key business performance and financial reporting.
  • Act as a vital analytical partner for the Finance and Accounting teams, managing ETLs for core financial statements and supporting business reviews, monthly closes, audits, and other financial reports.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to enhance operational effectiveness across Analytics Engineering, Data Infrastructure, and Finance.
  • Gather requirements from product and operational teams to ensure accurate core ledgers as business dynamics evolve.
  • Leverage Generative AI to automate workflows, enhancing operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Math, or another quantitative field.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a comparable role.
  • Proven ability to hire, train, manage, and retain a team of analysts.
  • Experience with large transactional data sets, building ETL tables, in-depth SQL analyses, and creating KPI reports and dashboards.
  • Team player with a passion for delivering outstanding results in a collaborative setting.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with constant change.
  • Resourceful and willing to roll up sleeves to solve problems.

Salary Range:

San Francisco: $160,500 to $220,500 annually. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits. Base pay is determined by skills, experience, market demands, and work location.

Faire’s flexible work model allows employees to choose between office, remote, or hybrid work setups, tailored to their role. Eligible roles can be fully remote within the registered country.
