Capability Specialist (Data Analytics & Reporting)

Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Acquire datasets aligned with business needs and develop algorithms to transform data into actionable information.
  • Build, test, and maintain database pipeline architectures.
  • Create new data validation methods and data analysis tools.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements for Risk Content – FinCrime Activities, including automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery.
  • Build infrastructure for optimal data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources.
  • Develop analytics tools to deliver actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and key business performance metrics.
  • Support technical needs of Executives, Product, Data, and Design teams.
  • Review and validate data, develop dashboards, and create reports to support business functions.
  • Oversee deployment of data to the data warehouse and supervise analytics and metrics results.
  • Design, build, and deploy BI solutions and develop database queries and analyses.
  • Develop test automation frameworks and scripts for business needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years of confirmed experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficient with data visualization tools and BI solutions.
  • Experience ensuring data security across national boundaries and AWS regions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of LSEG Content & Products, especially Risk Products (World-Check, Refinitiv Due Diligence).
  • Extensive experience capturing client requirements and writing functional specifications.
  • Proven ability to work under stress and strict deadlines.
  • Experience with data visualization, infographics, and interactive storytelling using Power BI.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to navigate a complex matrix environment.
  • Willing to work UK/US hours as needed.

Tools & Applications

  • Advanced skills in SQL, SSRS, SSIS, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Python, AI, and ML.
  • Experience with Database technologies (Oracle, Snowflake) and data processing languages (SQL, Python, R).
  • Azure AI skills are an added advantage.
