We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Avionics Calibration and Precision Measuring Equipment Mechanic to join our AIMD Program team in Corpus Christi, Texas. This role demands expertise in calibration, inspection, repair, and maintenance of sophisticated test and monitoring systems and precision measuring equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
Core Duties Include:
- Perform detailed Type IV calibration and repairs as per various technical and navy guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records and inventory for Test and Monitoring Systems and Individual Material Requirements List (IMRL) assets.
- Adhere strictly to safety regulations across all tasks and procedures.
- Execute Quality Control inspections and handle documentation processes.
- Travel to various sites for specialized calibration tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the work environment.
- Provide essential input during team meetings and training sessions.
- Possibly operate a forklift and perform other duties as required or directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, you must have:
- An Armed Forces PMEL school certification or equivalent qualifications as specified.
- At least three years of recent experience in calibrating and repairing Precision Measuring Equipment (PME) and Test Measuring and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A valid state driver's license and the ability to pass government licensing requirements.
- NEC 6718 / MOS 6497 certification or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Candidates should possess:
- Detailed knowledge of calibration laboratory operations, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
- The ability to read, interpret, and apply instructions from blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Capability to handle hazardous materials and awareness of safety precautions.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
The nature of this role requires:
- Frequent climbing, standing, kneeling, and the ability to work in uncomfortable positions.
- Handling objects up to 50 pounds.
