General Job Description

As a Project Manager, you will oversee medium to large Financial Solutions projects or manage segments of large and complex projects. You will handle research on existing operations, procedures, accounting transactions, workflow, product, and service requirements. You will guide the analysis of collected data to address problems related to project scope and determine appropriate financial system solutions. You will also manage project parameters, costs, and resource estimates while working closely with the LOB, Change Management, Technology, and other partners to execute the project plan. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of the bank's financial solutions and associated operations.

Specific Job Description

As a Project Manager within the CFO Change Management (Data Tower) function, you will manage funded projects, particularly large and complex ones, in support of the CFO Group's strategic data vision. You will work directly with CFO Group management to set the strategic direction of projects and collaborate closely with Change Management, Data Management, and Technology partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have subject matter expertise in existing solutions and processes within the finance space, with a fundamental understanding of finance, accounting, technology, data management, and project management functions. This role may involve acting as a working manager of junior resources supporting their project scopes and actively participating in the review and delivery of project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate priorities and deliverables into actionable project plans and communicate status.
  • Assist in developing business and functional requirements with business users, data management, and technology functions.
  • Create business analysis deliverables, such as workflows, process models, business requirements, use cases, and business rules.
  • Partner with business units to schedule and facilitate routines for overall delivery.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, technical experts, and data experts to propose solutions and mitigate risks.
  • Comply with enterprise project management standards.
  • Lead planning and prioritization routines for initiatives.
  • Oversee testing, signoff, and implementation of solutions.
  • Coordinate with SMEs and stakeholders to ensure appropriate signoff and risk oversight.
  • Develop and present clear and concise deliverable presentations.

Required Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial services and the current regulatory environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or equivalent experience.
  • Proven project management leadership for complex system implementations.
  • Ability to communicate and present technology concepts to non-technical executive management and business requirements to technologists.
  • Experience in developing and facilitating effective presentations, explaining complex analyses to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to create executive-ready presentations.
  • Self-motivated and capable of leading issue resolution independently.

Desired Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in finance or business with knowledge of banking and capital markets products (loans, deposits, securities, derivatives, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for performing complex data analysis.
  • Ability to work with business owners, document gaps, and map current and future-state processes.
