The Role: As a Data Engineer at BeyondTrust, your task is to assist us in constructing large-scale data systems from scratch designed to process hundreds of millions of events daily. Your contribution is crucial in launching our new Identity Threat Detection and Response solution; you will work with both internal and external customers to comprehend their use cases and make the necessary data available to them. What Will You Do: - Ideate and enhance the structure of vast data systems - Develop and manage streaming and batch tasks for data transformation, loading, and exporting - Sustain a Databricks-facilitated data lakehouse - Sustain a real-time detection pipeline functioning against data combined in the lakehouse - Process information and create representations beneficial for specific purposes within the lakehouse and other data warehouses, possibly including graph databases What You'll Bring: - The capacity to ingest large-scale event streams and respond to them in real time - Control and engineer data systems to comply with regulatory requirements and respect customer preferences - Experience in constructing data lakes or data lakehouses - Ability to work independently Technologies You Should Know: - Essential: Spark - Essential: Databricks, Snowflake, Presto, Redshift or similar - Essential: Proficient in Python or Scala - Essential: Flink, Spark Streaming, Storm, Samza, or similar - Ideal: Some exposure to graph data stores Better Together: To us, diversity and inclusion are more than just words.
