Chief of Staff, Enterprise AI at Scale AI

As the Chief of Staff, Enterprise AI, you will be an integral part of our leadership team, focusing on generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) applications for major enterprises. Your role will be pivotal in driving AI innovation at Scale.
Responsibilities
In this senior leadership position, you will:
- Collaborate with the VP/GM of Enterprise AI and senior leaders (VPs of Engineering, GTM, and Operations) to establish business priorities and align team objectives.
- Develop the business unit's strategy, business development priorities, and internal operating models.
- Lead weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual planning processes for the Enterprise business unit.
- Conduct market and competitive research, along with financial analyses, to inform strategic decisions.
- Assist Engineering leadership in translating business strategies into product priorities, and drive specific product workstreams as required.
- Support Delivery leadership in executing high-priority AI deployments for prominent global brands.
- Manage key operational processes such as leadership meetings, All Hands, OKR reviews, and team offsites, including agenda preparation and follow-ups.
- Act as the liaison to central cross-functional teams like Finance, Marketing, and Legal.
- Be a thought partner to leadership, identifying risks and opportunities to enhance products and internal processes.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience in management consulting, business operations, product management, or similarly strategic and analytical roles within a fast-growing company.
- Strong executive communication skills, capable of distilling complex details into precise insights.
- Proven ability to lead AI projects, collaborating with technical and business teams to deliver high-quality results.
- Exceptional qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple workstreams in a dynamic environment.
- A strong focus on outcomes, with a willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships across a wide range of stakeholders, influencing cross-functionally without direct authority.
- A readiness to challenge the status quo to enhance strategic rigor and execution quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Large Language Models and Generative AI.
- Degree in computer science or a related STEM field, or hands-on experience building software or machine learning systems.
- Experience working with Sales and Engineering teams.
Compensation and Benefits
Scale AI offers a competitive compensation package, which includes a base salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The salary range for this position in San Francisco, New York, and Seattle is $160,000—$192,000 USD. Employees in eligible roles are also granted equity-based compensation, subject to Board of Director approval. Benefits include health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement benefits, a learning and development stipend, and generous PTO. Additional benefits such as a commuter stipend may also be available.
