Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
  • 2 years of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • 2 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: statistical analysis and machine learning libraries (e.g., R, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow), programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C++), Large Language Models (LLMs) or Generative AI.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research).
  • Knowledge of current abuse techniques and practices.
  • Ability to extract and manipulate high volumes of critical, product-related data.
  • Ability to describe technical implementations or analyses to a non-technical audience in an effective manner.

The Trust & Safety team members at Google confront the most significant problems to ensure the safety and integrity of our products. Using technical expertise, superior problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication, you’ll protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products such as Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. As part of this team, you’ll be a strategic thinker and collaborative player with a global and cross-functional perspective, working alongside Google engineers and product managers to detect and combat abuse and fraud with speed and precision.

Trust & Safety is a diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers dedicated to combating abuse and instilling user trust, handling everything from malware and spam to account hijacking. Our work spans across all of Google’s products, safeguarding our users, advertisers, and publishers in over 40 languages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform data analyses to derive insights that help identify emerging threats and combat abuse across our products.
  • Identify opportunities for improving Google’s detection and enforcement systems and for automating processes.
  • Collaborate with various engineering stakeholders to gather requirements, explain models, and iterate to enhance our systems.
