About Reference Data Product (RDP)

The Reference Data Product (RDP) team is committed to enhancing the quality, integrity, and reliability of our firm's critical reference data. RDP actively contributes to business growth, cost reduction, and regulatory compliance. Key objectives include:

  • Explaining the pathways of critical reference data
  • Improving data quality
  • Reducing ambiguity and inconsistent terminology
  • Enhancing transparency
  • Rationalizing the number of replicated data assets
  • Improving firm-wide information sharing and best practices

To achieve these goals, RDP sets firm-wide reference data standards, develops technologies and processes to support data management, partners with various lines of business (LOBs), and ensures sustainability by refining, measuring, and improving reference data management practices.

Role Description

Join our Reference Data Product Engagement team, which focuses on business priorities and strategy. Strong partnerships with global functional support areas such as technology, business support management, product business managers, legal, credit, and various operational teams are essential. Developing effective relationships with partners, stakeholders, and senior management is critical, as this role interacts with the leads across Party Reference Data and Reference Data Product organizations and business stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support two key project streams within RDP Engagement: Contacts Data Management and strategic Reference Data adoption across Markets, Security Services, Payments, Banking, and Commercial Banking
  • Lead analysis/working group meetings with stakeholders, including preparation of meeting materials
  • Analyze large data sets, create data collection systems, and interpret results
  • Create meaningful insights using Data Visualization tools like Qliksense or Tableau
  • Streamline existing data analysis processes using analytical automation platforms like Alteryx
  • Develop business cases where technological infrastructure build/changes are identified
  • Contribute ideas and solutions for both tactical and strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with PMO Leads to document meeting minutes, maintain scorecards, project plans, RAID logs, and other PMO updates

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities

  • Knowledge of party reference data, client onboarding processes (including KYC), and downstream trade booking and risk management processes
  • Ability to understand logical data models and work with data architects to define extensions to the strategic party and account data model
  • Experience working on agile delivery projects with the ability to write user stories
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio, with the ability to create business-focused presentations and clear process flows
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with stakeholders at all levels across front office, middle office, and technology teams
  • Effective change and time management skills with an ability to adapt within a changing environment and work under pressure
  • Knowledge of Markets and/or Securities Services business

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities

  • Additional knowledge across other departments, such as Banking or Asset and Wealth Management (AWM)
