Claims Data Engineer Responsibilities
The Claims Data Engineer will support Barrow Wise's DHS project by performing the following duties:
- Design and implement Medicare Part D Claims systems; possess knowledge of other Medicaid and Medicare claims systems.
- Identify trends in datasets; develop workflows and algorithms to make raw data applicable to the enterprise.
- Design and implement standardized data management procedures focused on data staging, ingestion, preparation, provisioning, and destruction (leveraging scripts, programs, and automation).
- Ensure the quality of technical solutions as data transitions across environments.
- Provide insights into data environment changes, processing, storage, and utilization; offer solution suggestions.
- Map details within artifacts to business processes, non-functional characteristics, QA criteria, and technical enablement.
- Create and verify data acquisition requirements; ensure analytic assets support strategic goals.
- Develop, construct, test, and maintain data architectures.
- Align data and solution architecture with business requirements using programming languages and tools.
- Improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
- Deploy advanced analytics programs, machine learning, and statistical methods.
- Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling; identify hidden patterns using data.
- Utilize data to discover automatable tasks.
- Create data monitoring capabilities; collaborate with data consumers on updates.
- Maintain the integrity and security of company data.
- Work remotely.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor's degree
- 7 years of experience in healthcare claims systems development, implementation, and operations
- 5 years of experience in database management, automation, and data analytics
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
