Role Overview

The Clinical Data Programmer (CDP) will be part of the Icon Medical Imaging Group, engaged in clinical data receipt, programming, and delivery. The CDP supports Clinical Data Programming Leads in study-specific programming set-up and delivery. Responsibilities include specifying, developing, validating, and executing programs, as well as generating clinical data deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review database specification documents created by study teams (e.g., CRF Specifications and Data Delivery Specifications (DDS)).
  • Create/Program edit checks, special actions, and derivations per DDS.
  • Complete and maintain all study documentation according to ICON procedures.
  • Update study databases as specified per Change Request documents and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve study building and edit check programming issues.
  • Review data set specifications and program and validate data sets.
  • Create data programming specifications and program and validate clinical data programs.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year(s) of experience in clinical data programming and delivery.
  • Proven ability to program clinical data deliverables.
  • SDTM experience in a pharmaceutical setting.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines successfully.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of the clinical data programming development life cycle.
  • Proficient in SAS programming.
  • Ability to analyze, query, and update relational databases using SQL.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
