Join Our Team: Clinical Research Intern - Mental Health at Brightline

About the Role:

Brightline is revolutionizing virtual behavioral and mental health care for families, whenever and wherever they need it. We are looking for a passionate Research Intern to become a part of our Clinical Research Group, led by our Chief Clinical Officer. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Clinical Data Scientist Theoren Loo to design studies, conduct analyses, and author peer-reviewed papers that demonstrate the clinical effectiveness and ROI of digital behavioral health interventions. Examples of projects include our pediatric mental health medical spending analysis published in JAMA Network Open and our digital behavioral health evaluation in JMIR Formative Research.

This is a fully remote, part-time internship requiring a commitment of 10-15 hours per week (flexible based on your course load) for approximately six months. The hourly pay range is $15.00 - $20.00.

Why We Are Excited About You:

  • Current MS/MPH/PhD candidate in epidemiology, biostatistics, clinical psychology, data science, computer science, or related quantitative social/behavioral science program.
  • Proficient in at least one statistical software (R, Python, Stata, etc.).
  • Previous experience in mental health research and survey data.
  • Experience with study design, clinical outcome evaluation, and exploratory data analysis (nice-to-have: implementation of ML techniques).
  • Familiar with the peer-review process and manuscript writing.
  • Proactive communicator with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Independent learner.
