Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Technician 1, you will:

• Assist in the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Provide essential care including basic activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, feeding, and measuring vital signs.
• Demonstrate competency in clinical skills and technologies as per Inova Health System’s policies.
• Effectively communicate changes in patient status to the RN promptly.
• Partner with RNs to craft your professional development plan focused on acquiring skills for up-to-date patient care.
• Ensure accurate documentation and reinforce patient discharge teaching and home care skills.

Position Requirements

Certification: Basic Life Support certification required within 3 months of hire.
Licensure: None Required
Experience: None Required
Education: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: None Required
