Description:
Develop and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions in a cloud environment. Support the development of data strategies, data management, and data governance practices. Apply knowledge of data security best practices and experience in implementing data governance and compliance measures in a cloud environment.
Expert-level knowledge of data management strategies, directives, policies, procedures, and standards for data information exchange is essential. Knowledge of common data exchange practices and data migration strategies is expected. You should have advanced knowledge of data software, database software, and data technology, including standards, formats, web-based and cloud-based capabilities, and their implementation in the operating environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate effectively, and provide leadership in guiding data architecture decisions. Demonstrate knowledge of methods for initiating and sustaining clean data practices across large system deployments with multiple interconnections with external systems. Possess expert knowledge in data safeguarding techniques such as encryption, honey pots, layered access controls, etc.
Build data warehouse requirements, define the requirements for the data warehouse, and support related data migration efforts.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, data science, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree and 10+ years of experience in the design, analysis, and implementation of data architectures is preferred.
Expertise in designing and implementing data models, databases, and data warehouses in a cloud environment is mandatory. Experience in designing and optimizing ETL processes for moving and transforming data within cloud environments is crucial. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to address complex data-related challenges.
Significant experience working with cloud platforms, such as AWS and Azure, is required. Understanding both relational and NoSQL databases is essential.
Familiarity with big data technologies such as Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, and related tools for processing and analyzing large data sets is required. Familiarity with programming languages used in data processing, such as Python and Java, is beneficial. Familiarity with containerization technologies and orchestration tools for managing and deploying cloud-based applications is advantageous. Experience with data integration tools and middleware solutions for connecting various data sources and systems is expected.
