Key Qualifications

• Proven expertise in designing and implementing scalable, secure data storage solutions in cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services and tools for automating data workflows and optimizing the data engineering process.
• Advanced proficiency in database design and development across relational, non-relational, and OLAP databases.
• Strong understanding of cloud cost management and experience in cost forecasting and optimization.
• Minimum 5 years experience in designing and implementing large-scale data solutions in public clouds and big-data platforms like Spark, Dremio, Hadoop, Hive, and more.
• Over 3 years experience managing big-data platforms or data-planes.
• At least 3 years experience in developing custom ETL pipelines utilizing SQL, Python, Shell, or similar scripting languages.
• Familiarity with version control systems, CI/CD methodologies, database/software testing, and migration tools.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and data protection strategies.
• AWS Data Engineer Associate certification is preferred.

Role Description

Join our team as a Cloud Data Engineer where you'll be pivotal in crafting and implementing cloud-based data solutions that enhance analytical and reporting capabilities across Apple’s diverse product portfolio. Your efforts will support our global and regional sales and finance teams by:

• Designing, building, and maintaining data solutions that not only scale but also integrate various technologies to meet complex business needs.
• Leading technological innovation and making key decisions that shape the future of Apple's analytics and reporting frameworks.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance data system performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Forecasting compute and storage costs and developing cost optimization strategies.
• Creating and refining scalable data pipelines and supporting existing pipelines as necessary.
• Collaborating with data scientists and engineers to support data modeling, analysis, and reporting needs.
• Ensuring strict adherence to data governance and security standards.

Education & Experience

Successful candidates will likely hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.

Pay & Benefits

Apple offers a competitive salary range between $170,700 and $256,500 based on qualifications, skills, and experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, discounted Apple products, and educational expense reimbursement. Additionally, you might be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission payments, and relocation support.
